What makes Earth jaw-droppingly special in the Solar System is that complex life evolved here – including us. Many, incredible coincidences combined to make this possible. Our distance from the Sun is perfect... We’ve a magnetosphere to protect us... We’ve just enough Oxygen. Let’s look after our home, we’re very lucky to live here. This design shows a map of our interwoven human cultures through pattern and fabric and how we’re all connected.

Boldly go where no one has gone before – in glorious technicolor.

The colours for Earth were tricky to choose. Naturally we refer to this as the blue planet. But is the land green? Or brown? We even designed one in pink to overcome this conundrum. In the end we settled on a Green Earth and a Red Earth. Both are equally lovely. Red Earths's orange an blue combination really sings. And the blues and greens of Green Earth are divine – especially on the wool.
