Street Art, Brighton Anarchy – Large Silk Scarf

A scandalous and vandalous silk scarf captured from the back streets of decadent and rebellious Brighton

110cm x 110cm – Silk Twill – Hand-rolled Hems – Made in England

This exuberant, 100% silk foulard was a lucky find in a back alley of the North Laine of Brighton, famous for its bohemian and alternative past. From the anarchy symbol to the bird herself, this is such a Furious Goose image. And how many layers of messaging were there in this vignette? This wall has already been covered over several times with more graffiti so this scarf acts as a frozen moment in time, long since gone.

The painterly street art has been framed with the classical architectural motif of the acanthus plant.

To see the streets where the scarf was captured (although the original work is now covered over by new layers) here is a map of the area.

The Brighton Anarchy silk scarf is 110cm x 110cm allowing you to really play with this luxury accessory achieving fantastic drapes. We finish our scarves with great care and a hand-rolled hem. This gives our squares a luxury look and feel and that classic chunky and distinctive edge.

Our scarves come in branded presentation cases so they can be kept in pristine condition.
