We were delighted to be involved in this year's Terrence Higgins Trust fundraising auction at Christie's Great Room in London.
This high-profile auction raises vital funds to support people living with and affected by HIV and is the most popular event of the charity's calendar with truly amazing lots. There were opportunities to acquire everything from an amazing Ian Davenport original right down to a set of alternative luxury silk ties by Furious Goose!
We donated a trio of our Guns and Roses printed silk ties. These are exquisite, hand finished ties that at first glance look like a rather charming floral print design. But look closely and you'll see tumbling antique pistols reminiscent or the opening of a James Bond movie. The intricately engraved pistols were allegedly given to Frank Sinatra by the Mafia! These are luxury accessories with a bit of an edge to help you stand out from the crowd.
We helped raise over £12,000 on the night towards the total and were in some impressive company in the 'box of delights' part of the auction for smaller items.
The Terrence Higgins Trust is an amazing charity and it has fought tirelessly over the years. Their ambitions include:
- contribute to the end of HIV transmissions and improve sexual health
- support people living with and affected by HIV and poor sexual health
- ensure that the voices of people affected by HIV are heard.
Please have a look at their website and consider making a donation.
