The Belladonna Pattern explores the distinctive form of one of Britain's most enigmatic wild plants. It forms part of the Flower Power collection, which celebrates the beauty, folklore and remarkable history of some of nature's most fascinating and often misunderstood plants.
Design process
The design was first developed as a seamless digital repeat before being reinterpreted as a hand-carved woodcut and printed in three colour layers. The finished artwork combines the precision of digital pattern design with the richness and character of traditional printmaking.
