The Paisley print has its origins in Persia and Kashmir, known for their rich textile traditions. It features a stylised floral motif known as the boteh that represents the abundance of nature. The shawls and scarves that featured this woven pattern became insanely popular in the 18th and 19th centuries.
With the advent of the industrial textile revolution the design was "borrowed" and brought to the United Kingdom and manufactured in Paisley, Scotland. Local weavers and manufacturers replicated the designs and, using the new technologies available to them, added colour and detail, giving rise to its association with the town.
In the 1960s, the Paisley print took on a new significance as it became a symbol of the counterculture and the sexual revolution. Embraced by musicians and fashion icons, it represented rebellion and gender fluidity.
In our latest collection, we've introduced a unique twist. By incorporating classical nude sculptures into the Paisley pattern, we aim to challenge the traditional boundaries that separate mankind from nature.
Placing the human figure within the traditional motifs represents the fundamental connection between humanity and the natural world. We are, after all, and for better or for worse, part of intricate tapestry of nature.
Introducing our exquisite collection of luxury silk ties, scarves and shirts, featuring the timeless Paisley print with a twist. The pattern symbolises the abundance of nature. We have added a unique touch by incorporating classical nude sculptures, challenging the separation between mankind and the natural world. Our meticulously crafted and beautifully coloured pieces make a bold and elegant statement and will be quite the conversation starter.
Good old, dependable navy, which will chime with so many formal outfits, is brought to life by a rich bronze colour. The brighter colour is used sparingly and so at first glance the tie still reads as a restrained blue. However as the light hits it the gorgeous warm highlights leap out.

The General Product Safety Regulation (GSPR) is a critical framework established by the European Union to ensure that products placed on the market are safe for consumers. This regulation mandates that manufacturers and distributors take all necessary measures to prevent risks associated with their products. As a responsible entity, Furious Goose is committed to adhering to these regulations and enhancing the safety and transparency of our offerings.
Under the GSPR, several key rules must be followed:
1. Product Safety: All products must be safe for use and should not pose any risk to consumers. This includes ensuring that products are designed and manufactured to meet safety requirements. Silk, wool and cashmere scarves are not considered risky products but we will be compiling some safety advice regarding fire risk etc.
2. Labeling and Instructions: Clear and accurate labeling is essential. Products must include safety information, usage instructions, and any necessary warnings to inform consumers about potential risks. We will be adding QR codes to relevant pages on our website to our packaging. This will ensure that consumers have access to all necessary details to use our products safely.
3. Traceability: Manufacturers must ensure that their products can be traced throughout the supply chain. This includes maintaining records of product origin and distribution. Our products are all made in the UK but we will will nonetheless be adopting batch numbers on our labels to improve traceability.
Furious Goose is dedicated to ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed safety expectations. By proactively addressing GSPR requirements, we aim to foster consumer trust and contribute to a safer marketplace.
